Nature smiles?

The feng shui almanac or book of nature has its auspicious collar, which looks almost like a smile and suggests success will be found by pursuing the following activities; meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, visiting friends, taking a course, having a haircut, sweeping house, travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, buying or setting direction for your bed or oven and hunting.

Autumnal equinox

What now brown cow?

Water Sheep daily horoscope posted

Today’s title has a slight change to its original elocution lesson purpose of demonstrating rounded vowel sounds. Being our first blog since mid-December, (and the first of the western New Year), we thought we would ask you “what” you want to have in our daily blog instead of “how”. Answers, not on a postcard, should be emailed to us and we will try to cover the main feng shui or Chinese astrology subjects.

Of course we will also try to be educational, and if you are a regular reader you will know that brown is a colour associated with the earth element and cow is another name for Ox. It therefore should come as no surprise that as well as petitioning your input, we hid this Earth Ox day in our title.

The Chinese almanac which is said to indicate the flow of nature, also lists various factors that determine whether the day is lucky or not. Today's recommendations are meditating or honouring ancestors, buying or making clothes, trading and signing contracts. It advises against digging foundations, or erecting columns or statues.

If you were born on an Earth Ox day, you are an independent thinker, strong and healthy with a creative flair and a knack for making money. You have an air of confidence, enhanced by your excellent expressive and communication skills, and an honourable attitude that attracts others to share life’s luxuries with.

Famous Earth Ox celebrities include Kirstie Alley, Gary Barlow, Mary J. Blige, Jeff Bridges, Phil Collins, Minnie Driver, Crystal Gayle, Richard Gere, Robin Gibb, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Jeremy Renner, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen, Meryl Streep, Justin Timberlake, Sigourney Weaver and Elijah Wood.

As you might imagine, Ox signs are prominent today, whilst Roosters gain much needed support and Snakes are innovative. It brings change to Sheep, Rabbit and Pig symbols though.  All other signs are neutral. If you are unsure of your sign, get a free Chinese horoscope by clicking the link.

Send us your input and feel free to mail this to your friends. Although extremely busy, we will return tomorrow on a Metal Tiger day.
Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!

What’s the beef?

Today’s title is an urban saying that refers to conflict. Of course it also refers to the food we get from a cow, and would seem most appropriate on this Earth Ox day. Furthermore, we are in a Pig month and, despite both being part of the same group of zodiac animals, the Ox controls the Pig and may cause a problem or two.

This particular group denotes the water element that, among other things, represents communications. Having the beginning and end of a combination means disjointed messages, so the connecting influence of the Rat is sorely needed. If you have one in your horoscope and you can find out with our free Chinese horoscope you will probably act as a councillor today and people will naturally flock to you for your unbridled wisdom, another water quality.

Failing that, we will all share the early Rat hour which runs from 11pm until midnight, so if you need to discuss important issues this may be the best time. Otherwise the Chinese almanac suggests meditation, visiting friends, buying or making clothes, opening a  business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, moving earth, buying or setting a direction for your oven and filling cracks, like the one found between the Pig and Ox.

To see how your own sign is affected today see our dedicated Earth Ox web page and we will return tomorrow on a natural harmony day of Metal Tiger.

Snake takes treasure trove

Traditionally we include the daily animal sign in our title, but on this Earth Ox day, we’ve chosen a Snake. Why’s that? Well, those with a Serpent in their Chinese horoscopes will find today truly memorable in one way or another because today's Ox aligns with this month’s Rooster sign and brings a huge metal influence on the Snake.

This Yin Metal influence is likened to buried minerals, including precious metals, hence “treasure”. That term is most appropriate today because in Feng Shui and Chinese astrology, the Ox is associated with the underground storage of metal.

Those born under the Earth Ox influence, particularly when it’s found in a Day Pillar, (see free Chinese horoscope ) have a huge wealth or “trove” of creative and investment talents. This imbues them with certain magnetism and charisma, boosting their confidence and allowing for excellent self-expression. Being strong, healthy and vibrant, their only downfall is their incredible stubbornness. However when harnessed and guided correctly, provides great drive and leads to even greater prosperity.

You may expect today to be auspicious because of this alignment, and you would be correct. The Chinese almanac is smiling with its “red horseshoe” formation, and additionally favours those born under Monkey and Yin Wood signs. The recommended activities for everyone include meditation or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, visiting friends, travelling, getting engaged or married, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, emigrating, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting and buying or setting a direction for your bed - Earth Ox daily Chinese horoscope posted 25th September 2012

Dun cow brightens up

Black beauty day?

The dun cow is a common phrase in English folklore. "Dun" is a dull shade of brownish grey.  We chose the brownish aspect as this corresponds to the earth element and today is an Earth Ox day. However, there is nothing dull about now, as according to the Chinese almanac that celebrates this extremely auspicious time with a lucky horseshoe. That is a red frame around today’s details further informing us that it will be particular lucky for those born under a Yin Wood heavenly stem, is this you? Find out with our Free Chinese horoscope

Todays lucky activities include meditation, asking for blessings, taking a course, visiting friends, travelling, getting engaged, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, open a  business, collect debts, or refurbish home or office, move earth, fix a roof, go hunting, buying or setting direction for your bed or practice yin feng shui.

Success, although a day late and a bill short!

Although we said we would return yesterday, it’s the bank holidays season here in the UK where working weeks are noticeably shorter but deadlines remain the same, so we’ve been extra busy this week.

Today is an Earth Ox day in a Snake month; both signs need to be re-united by the Rooster and that’s where the bill (bird beak) is missing or short. Having just the start and end of a group can mean chaos and management issues and those best suited to sort this out are those with a Rooster in their Chinese horoscope. Alternatively, you could wait until the Rooster double hour which falls between 17:00 and 19:00 hours which will be an interesting time for us all.

At this time we get to experience what Rooster people will feel all day which is a huge metal influence. A Rooster can restore order and respect and bring personal glory or rewards depending on horoscope composition. You want one now, don’t you? Just check with our free Chinese horoscope  and then see our attribute cycle for its personal effects on you.

Overall, today’s title refers to possibly being too late, but it does state success and if you follow our daily, sorry mostly daily translations of the feng shui almanac, you are never too late. This tells us that today success can be found by meditating or honouring ancestors, asking for blessings, visiting friends, taking a course, having a haircut, travelling, getting engaged, having an astrology reading, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, hunting, or setting up a tombstone. Problems abound in litigation, emigrating or apparently catching fish.

Success is also found in the 12 palace system making today highly auspicious for starting new projects.

Our dedicated Earth Ox web page has everything you are likely to want to know about today's zodiac sign and we hope to return tomorrow with Form School’s White Tiger.
Until then, enjoy every moment of NOW!
