Welcome to World WOOD day
Today's Wood Rabbit forms and alliance with the monthly Tiger and this year’s Dragon sign to make the strongest possible wood element. Wood when in generally short or weak supply can cause anger, but at today's magnitude it should bring the opposite effect of unbridled kindness.
The book of nature is even smiling and most things are favourable including, meditation, taking a course, visiting friends, travelling, getting engaged, getting married, having a haircut, sweeping the house, exchanging gifts, having an astrology reading, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, emigrating, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, buying or setting the direction of your bed or oven and even buying mourning attire.
It advises against drilling a well or pool, or planting seeds. Kindness continues until Tuesday when we will return with our next blog, although Sunday may take a dip.

"Run with the Hare and Hunt with the Hounds."
As today's Wood Rabbit sign combines with the monthly Dog sign, how could I not choose this title? What’s more, the Chinese almanac suggests hunting as a suitable activity, so there you go, it’s a fate thing! However, before worrying about animal welfare, buying clothes is also considered de rigeur and I therefore interpret this as hunting for bargains.
It’s a new moon tonight and this makes it a good time to bring things into your life. The almanac further recommends asking for blessings, buying or setting a direction for your bed or new door, or setting up a tombstone. If you prefer to consider change before actually making it, quiet meditation is also favourable.

"To Hunt Two Hares"
Today’s title refers to a person trying to complete two tasks at the same time, but succeeding in neither. I chose it because it sums up the effect of a Wood Rabbit day in a Metal Rabbit year where two opposing forces meet in a clash. As expected, the Chinese almanac advices caution, suggesting quiet meditation and fixing nets which we can translate as preparation, perhaps for a better day tomorrow.
We wouldn’t advise it but if you really want to hunt two rabbits and fail miserably, try planting seeds, digging or opening a water course. Such was the case at the crack of dawn this morning when a crew from our local water company clashed with the neighbours by planting their pneumatic drills in the ground, digging down and then installing water meters!

Wood Rabbit day
Today is a Wood Rabbit day in a Metal Rabbit year and as you would expect it is auspicious. it should be a good day for making money although you may have to work hard for it. In particular, the metal signs of Monkey and Rooster can have the most luck in this regard, and their males are also lucky in love. However, the Rooster being in a clash with the Rabbit may not think so, they can have a much better day with the water element.

Today is also good for Pig who has creativity and freedom along with the Rat. Tiger signs see their plans come to fruition and Rabbits enjoy friendship.
