A Truffle hunters treasure; worth more than its weight in gold!
Gasses, scents and aromas are associated with the wood element and an excellent sense of smell is just one of the attributes of today's Wood Pig. Generally, Pigs love woodland, especially sniffing around tree roots, and those able to find “black gold” or truffles that sell for thousands of dollars an ounce are literally worth more than their weight in gold.
A Wood Pig as part of your personal horoscope can imbue you with a fine sense of smell too and you could carve a career in catering, chemistry or perfume making. "If That Don't Beat a Pig-a-Pecking."
Today's title is a way of saying that something is amazing and I thought I would use it to brighten up an otherwise gloomy day. Although, the picture seems to refer to Pig packing instead of pecking.
It’s a Wood Pig day in a Pig month and as they are aligned with the annual Rabbit sign, it should be amazing. However, apart from quiet meditation, travelling and house building, it is pretty unremarkable, so says the Chinese almanac.
Mind you, it also states it’s a good day for pampering, so be amazing to yourself and treat yourself in some way. Otherwise two Pigs together in a horoscope are seen as a “punishment” affecting self-esteem. So, do the unexpected!

Piggyback on annual union day
It is a Wood Pig day and is very special time, as it unites the day with the month and year in the wood trine of Pig, Sheep and Rabbit. This makes it a memorable day in one way or another, and you will need to see our attribute cycle to see how the wood element affects your horoscope. Generally, when out of balance, wood can bring either great kindness or anger, so make sure you are kind to all today and you will not suffer. It is also good for strategy and planning.

Today’s Wood Pig clashes with this month’s Snake sign and this month break can cause a lot of frustration and anxiety for the Pig. Luckily, the wood element balances this confrontation and is already present as the Heavenly Stem, meaning that all should end well. However, if you were born under the pig sign and you seem to be suffering adversely; then wearing green or light blue colours, eating sour tastes, being kind, instead of angry and planning your day will improve your outlook and “save your bacon*.

According to the Tong Shu – the Farmer’s almanac this Wood Pig day is only good for fixing walls.
Conversely, tomorrow being the autumnal equinox is one of the high energy days of the year.
At 11:09 Beijing time the Sun will pass through the ecliptic plane bringing summer to the southern hemisphere. This event marking equal day and night, makes it an ideal time for all energy work such as meditating or healing therapies.
Tomorrow - a Rat day is also the start of a new astrology cycle, so we will continue our daily predictions in earnest from then.
