Planning a date? Choose auspicious timing from our Chinese Zodiac calendar
Red bull starts school!Today's title is not meant to be a nod to feeble poetry, but is germane to today's energetic influences. Let’s see how. As you might expect, red is the colour associated with the fire element and bull is another name for the Ox, therefore it should come as no surprise that it’s a Fire Ox day.
When taken in isolation, Fire Ox is considered as the brightest or most intelligent of the five different types of Oxen in feng shui or Chinese astrology. Today's Ox is also part of the same zodiac group as this months’ Snake, and if you have a Rooster in your horoscope you too can benefit today from enhanced mental prowess. Consequently, the book of nature suggests starting school or taking a feng shui course. It also recommends visiting friends, travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, buying or making clothes, seeing a doctor or choosing a treatment, opening a business and trading, refurbishing a home or office, laying foundations, fixing a roof, making wine or fermenting, buying or setting feng shui directions for your bed, hunting or setting up a tombstone.
The book of nature gets some of its inspiration from the position of the moon in a method known as the 28 lunar mansions. This being a “Carriage” day is noted as the key to honour, recognition and promotion and is doubly auspicious for taking a course. Also the Jian Chu system of 12 palaces in which today is known as “Success” bodes well for all other forms, especially trade. As you might expect the Chinese almanac is smiling again today.
We will return tomorrow on an Earth Tiger day.
Not at all, this Fire Ox day is good for seeing friends, fixing cracks in walls, quiet meditation and thanking your ancestors. The Chinese almanac also advises against having your hair done and maybe that would make you feel like today's title.
However, I prefer to think of it as a countdown to the action packed and auspicious weekend which lies before us and lasts all the way until Tuesday, which is when we will return.
Until then, enjoy NOW! I dare you not to!
Today is a Fire Ox day, so we have pulled the proverbial lever on the slot machine that is the Feng Shui thesaurus, and arrived with Red and Bull! Inspiration for linking these together occurs due to the clash between the Ox and the sheep of the month or the “month break”.
This clash means that important decisions should be made tomorrow. Today is only good for taking things apart; which perhaps doesn’t bode well for the Eurozone conference.
Consequently, the Chinese almanac suggests redecoration or reorganisation and repairing walls or barriers; can this be taken as further economic constraints? It advises against trading and is not a good day for a haircut either.
Red Bull gives you wheels? It is not so hard to decipher today’s title as red is the colour associated with the fire element and bull is another name for Ox. Wheels’, being a slang word for car or in ancient Chinese terms “Carriage” is the 28th lunar mansion appearing today. Of course, as Red Bull is an energy drink another meaning could be that you will need to lots of get-up-and-go and “get your skates on” to make full use of this highly auspicious FIRE OX day.
The Chinese almanac list suitable activities for today as meditating, asking for blessings, taking a course, going out, seeing friends, perhaps even getting engaged or married, that is after first checking their astrological compatibility. You could then emigrate, start a business, consult a doctor, enter a new home, refurbish or even build your own home. Open a watercourse or drill a well. Phew!
If Fire Ox is part of your horoscope and you can find out here Chinese horoscope it indicates a very generous, intelligent, creative and honourable person. Drive and determination bring excellent financial rewards which help to make you more powerful and attractive to the opposite gender. With high ideals and perhaps a spiritual slant this combination keeps you grounded and ready to be of service to others. Famous Fire Ox celebrities include Jenson Button, Bradley Cooper, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson and Ridley Scott.
The earth element signs of Ox, Dragon and Dog are all supported by the fire element and should feel vibrant and can get some useful advice today. Whilst the other earth sign of Goat is clashed and may experience change and frustration but only until tomorrow. They also need to be careful of what they eat as stomach problems may also arise.
Fire and earth elements enhance the metal signs of Monkey and Rooster and both are powerfully influenced providing opportunities for romance or trying new activities. Meanwhile Pig and Rat signs can prosper from recognition and develop their management skills. Rabbit and Tiger can generally relax in the morning and have investment opportunities in the afternoon. Finally the Snake and Horse can relax and take things easy after a busy month.
As red is the colour associated with the fire element and cow being another name for Ox, I have renamed today’s Fire Ox as above. The Ox is one of four animal signs having the earth element, these are all strengthened on a fire day and can receive support and useful advice as a result. They include Dragon, Dog and Goat, although the later clashes and may experience the opposite effects today.
Having both fire and earth elements enhance the metal signs of Monkey and Rooster. The Monkey greatly benefits from this as they are clashed with the annual Tiger of 2010. Speaking of which Tiger signs can choose between a creative or relaxing day. Along with their fellow wood branch of Rabbit It should also a good day for investment. Snake and Horse signs have a similarly inspiring day. Rats and Pigs - the water element signs have money luck this morning and power, recognition and romance all day.
The Chinese almanac suggests today is only good for seeing friends, filling cracks and fixing paths, for total efficiency perhaps you can involve the former in the letter?
How could the term bull’s eye possibly relate to the Chinese astrology for today? Well allow me to explain and introduce elements of poetic licence, education and hopefully a touch of humour in doing so. As today is a Fire Ox day, let’s deal firstly with the eye in terms of five elements, i.e. water, wood, fire , earth and metal. These elements are used to express our universal energy characteristics and the eye relates to the fire element. Bull is just another name for Ox. Now comes the clever bit. So a Bull’s Eye is Ox Fire, or as we call it, a Fire Ox!
Chinese astrology comprises 12 animals known professionally as earthly branches, not to be confused with “earth” one of the five elements. These animals form four groups of three and actually represent key stages in the rise and fall of natural energy. As there are twelve animals equal to the amount of months in the year, each animal is fixed to a month. This means that you have more than one Chinese animal in your horoscope, see Four Pillars of Destiny for more details . Having just experienced the autumnal equinox you can probably guess we are currently at a key stage and today the Ox reacts favourably with the Rooster forming a semi group and making this an auspicious day.
I have added greater detail than usual as according to the Chinese almanac, today is good for learning. It is also suitable for going out, seeing friends, perhaps even getting engaged or married, that is after checking their astrological compatibility first. You could then emigrate, start a business, enter a new home, refurbish or even build your own home. Funerals and cremations are also favoured as is buying mourning clothes.
The Ox is one of four animals with the earth element and these are strengthened on a fire day. These include Dragon, Dog and Goat, although the later will clash and experience change today. Having both fire and earth elements enhance the metal signs of Monkey and Rooster. The Monkey greatly benefits from this as they are clashed with the annual Tiger of 2010. Speaking of which these “huhu” (Chinese name for Tiger) have either a creative or relaxing day depending on their preference. Along with their fellow wood branch of Rabbit It should also a good day for investment. Snake and Horse signs have a similarly inspiring day. Rats and Pigs - the water element signs have money luck this morning and power, recognition and romance all day.
